Uniforms
​The Bristol School of Dancing does have a strict uniform and hair code of practice. Our uniform supplier is Dancewell at Cotham Hill. Girls must have their hair in a bun and if the hair is short please discuss the most appropriate style with the teacher. See the following for detailed information about the uniforms for each grade. For females, socks/tights/shoes may be to match skin tone or ballet pink for all grades.

Pre-School, Pre-Primary and Primary – Female:
Bristol School of Dancing uniform skirted leotard 'Medley' by Roch Valley in pink, ballet socks (in pink or skin tone), ballet shoes with elastic to match socks, pink ballet wrap cardigan.
Pre-School, Pre-Primary and Primary – Male:
Regulation RAD leotard in white with cap sleeves – style 'Aaron', Regulation RAD navy blue shorts, white ballet socks, white ballet shoes with white elastic.

Grades 1 and 2 - Female:
Roch Valley 'Beatrice' leotard in pink, ballet socks (Grade 1) or ballet seamless tights (Grade 2) in pink or flesh tone, ballet shoes to match tights with elastic, black character skirt trimmed with ribbons. This should end three inches below the knee and black low-heeled character shoes with elastic. Plain pink ballet wrap cardigan.
Grades 3, 4 and 5 – Female:
Roch Valley 'Elizabeth' leotard in lavender, seamless ballet tights in pink or flesh tone, ballet shoes to match tights with elastics, black character skirt trimmed with ribbons. This should end three inches below the knee and black regulation Cuban-heeled RAD character shoes. Plain black ballet wrap cardigan.
Grade 6 /7/8 – Female
Black RAD sleeveless leotard with ruched front and back or black capped sleeved leotard, black waist elastic. Seamless pink or flesh tone tights, split sole ballet shoes with elastics to match tights, black chiffon skirt, black character skirt with ribbons which should end three inches below the knee, black character shoes with Cuban heels. Vocational Grades – Female:
RAD sleeveless leotard with ruched front and back or black capped sleeved leotard, black waist elastic, short black wrap chiffon skirt (hem of skirt should be approximately 30 cm from the floor when kneeling). Seamless tights in pink or flesh tone. Canvas split sole ballet shoes to match tights. Intermediate Foundation and above all require pointe shoes with ribbons to match tights.
Male Grades 1 through to Advanced 2
