The Bristol School of Dancing holds a Summer School annually.

It is a fun week of Dance, Drama, Singing, and Musical Theatre and is open to all, not just regular pupils of the school.

Coach Transport is organized from Bristol each day and there is no need for parents to even have to worry about a packed lunch, as for a small price the school will provide either a warm lunch or sandwiches and baguettes.

The tuck shop is always a huge hit as are the ice creams and cold drinks that are readily available.

For those who are not acquainted with the ClevedonCommunity Association venue, it is a large Victorian House, standing in its own beautiful landscaped gardens where the pupils may enjoy their lunch break.

The older students are able to take advantage of visiting teachers who offer various types of dance. This is a valuable experience for girls wishing to pursue a career in the theatrical profession and who are looking to go to one of the many London full time colleges. It also helps to break up the long summer holidays and keep their fitness levels up.

There is a Choreographic Competition open to the older pupils whereby they have the chance to win the next years summer school place completely free of charge.

For the younger pupils there is a Teddy Bears Picnic and face painting to look forward to as well as the Disco evening for both younger and older pupils as well as parents to come along and have a bop and a cold beer. Parents, that is……not pupils!!!!!!

The week closes with a concert that will show some of the achievements that have taken place during the week.

This is a hugely fun week, thoroughly enjoyed by all!!!
