The Bristol School of Dancing has a strict uniform and hair code of practice. Uniform should not be purchased either online or from supermarkets, as these are not the regulation uniform. Girls must have their hair in a bun, but for modern the head must be able to lie flat on the floor, so two french plaits would be more suitable. Modern uniforms by grade

Pre-Primary to Grade 3 – Girls Regulation Bristol School of Dancing pink leotard with black belt. Black 3/4 length nylon Lycra tights. Usually bare feet but during COVID restrictions wear ballet shoes/flesh coloured jazz shoes.



Pre-Primary through to Advanced 2 – Boys Regulation white sleeveless vest Black regulation jazz trousers. Usually bare feet but black coloured ballet shoes during COVID restrictions.

Grade 4 to Grade 5 – Girls Regulation Bristol School of Dancing black high neck leotard with zip front and lilac collar – style ‘Suzy’.  Matching lilac belt. Black convertible tights – and black Blochsox (Bloch dance socks) until further notice.
